Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has made remarkableachievements in all over the world. Now China has become one of the most potentialfor development of the world economy, improve the people’s living standards, thenational economy overall smooth operation, various undertakings have made newprogress, but ninety per capita GDP is still in the world ranking, the main reason isthat China’s inadequate investment in education, education structure is irrational,resulting in insufficient China’s human capital, structural unemployment rate is high,especially in the five northwestern provinces, rich natural resources, is rich inminerals, water, electricity and heat of tourism resources; at the same time, there is alarge area of the northwest of arable land. But from the point of economicdevelopment, the national economic strength is still the weakest area, but also fromthe economic power and benefit, between northwest and east middle area is furtherexpanded the potential trend. The loss of talented people, the lack of high-qualitytalent, the irrational structure of education, education funding shortage, become abottleneck restricting the rapid development of the economy of the northwest. This isthe opportunity, takes the human capital theory and economic growth theory as thebasic theoretical basis, from the perspective of promoting sustainable economicdevelopment and improve the northwest economic growth point of view, first throughthe China statistical yearbook data in five provinces of Northwest educationinvestment and education investment structure has carried on crosswise and thelongitudinal analysis, obtains this year in the five northwest provinces educationinvestment in China is increasing, but the education funds is still insufficient, theeducation investment structure is not reasonable; secondly according to the relatedtheory of input-output analysis1996-2010China Education in northwest fiveprovinces investment contribution to economic growth and the structure ofeducational investment in China’s economic growth; finally, according to the resultsof empirical analysis to the northwest five education investment in China in quantity and structure of the corresponding suggestions are put forward.
