Science Popularization Policy Research In Our Country

With the rapid development of science and technology, science has become an importantfactor affecting the country, social development and plays an important role in people’s dailylife. As the development of science popularization policy, science popularization policy hasbecome more and more important in the policy system of the whole country. China hasalways attached importance to the popularization of science,“knowledge of science andtechnology”in the early nineteen fifties was written into the law of the people’s republic ofthe first constitution, especially since the nineteen nineties,the series of important sciencepolicy has been promulgated, policy system for continuous improvement, sciencepopularization ability strengthens continuously, civic scientific literacy improveconstantly,however that have not yet reached the requirements of national modernizationdevelopment, there are some problems in Chinese science popularization policy.The development of China’s science popularization policy has experienced the followingthree stages: embryonic stage, rise stage of modern science saving trend, modern sciencepopularization policy. For in-depth and comprehensive understanding of China’s sciencepolicy achievements, problems, present situation, the author carried out a large number offield research, choose four groups of representative (groups of primary and middle schoolstudents, college students, intellectuals, migrant workers groups), and set the questionnaire toaccord with the characteristics of different groups. Through investigation and analysis, thereare five following problems of China’s science popularization policy:1.the target orientationis not accurate;2.system is not reasonable and needs to be improved;3.the policy system isnot perfect and t he infrastructure needs to be strengthened;4.there is not enough attention toit;5.guided by the government, implementation via a single way.Through the analysis of theabove problems and draw lessons from the development of overseas science policyexperience of some countries, I puts forward six points of China’s science popularizationpolicy suggestions:1.strengthen the infrastructure construction;2.improve and perfect thescience policy system and promotion path;3.establish a multi-channel propaganda way;4.build various implementation way;5.promote popular science industry development;6.pay more attention to science policy implementation.
