Study On Local Science Popularization Policy Of China

With continuous emergence of new science, new technologies, the current science and technology evolves and advances at an unprecedented speed. The unique role of science and technology, played in the development of productive forces and advancement of mankind society, is getting more and more attentions. They have a profound effect on economic, social development and civilizing process of a country or a region. Under the new background, it is of great significance to research and develop effective policies and laws, and to promote the popularization and development of science and technology for the implementation of the science and technology innovation strategy and the strategy of invigorating China through the development of science and education.This paper comprehensively uses the two logic ways, deductive and inductive, by interpreting the concept of science popularization and its interrelated policy, to clarify and define their mutual relations. Complying with this theory, we take the development of science popularization and its interrelated policy of Sichuan and Chongqing since the foundation of PRC, for example. After combing the details of the evolution of policies about science popularization in the two areas, we analyze and probe into the objectives, subjects and objects, communication of the local science popularization policies. Besides, we summarize the characteristics, deficiencies and causes of the local science popularization policies, on the base of which we then propose the targeted and improved specific thoughts and recommendations. Finally, a brief overview of local science popularization policy in China was given and the future about local science popularization was expected.
