Research On Management Of Overseas Iron Ore Supplychain For WISCO

WISCO’s total production capability of20million tons per year has been releasedsince the12th5year plan is on the way. Such a huge purchasing plan should be putforward together with the globalization and the most advance supply chain theory. In thecurrent situation, WISCO should learn how to increase the efficiency to decrease thelogistics cost and benefit most. This thesis analysis the supply chain’s situation and draw astrategy suggestion to the management of WISCO’s logistics.This thesis introduces the original of this topic and the theory background, backviewing the concept of supply chain and analysis the new features of the current logisticsmanagement. This thesis also introduces WISCO’s background information and togetherwith the situation of the global iron ore market, totally analysis the situation of Chineseimporting iron ore and find out the problems in the process of Chinese steel manufacturer.briefly introducing the using of the iron ore in WISCO and then check the circumstance ofWISCO by SWOT method tand give out four methods for WISCO’s supply chain andcompare the four methods’ difference. Then on the base of the12th5year plan of WISCO,considering the actual of WISCO’s manufacturing and the project of “good quality ironore for the furnaces”, analysis these situations’ effect on the structure of the importing ironore. Finally give a suggestion to the safe supply chain for WISCO’s supply chainmanagement according to the supply chain theory.
