As the second largest country for the energy consumption, our country hasseen a series of existing problems with energy supply and usage. Now in Chinamost studies on energy consumption have focused on industry energyconsumption. As a matter of fact, in most developed countries, the consumptionof household energy has outnumbered that of industry energy. However, ourcountry has just started the study on the field of household energy consumption. So it means a lot to study the structure and influence factors of household energyconsumption in our country. This paper calculates and analyses the change of our household energyconsumption, and finds the influence factors of two kinds of energy consumption. To begin with, the paper refers to the existing research results, define the directand indirect household energy consumption, and classify the two differentconsumptions. What’s more, it analyses the change of two kinds of energyconsumption, and the data of indirect one are calculated from input-output tables, which help us compare the two different consumption ways and find their changetrends. Additionally, cointegrating and structure decomposition analysis are usedto research the influence factors. Last but not least, some suggestions have beenrecommended. This paper concludes that with the narrowing difference of energyconsumption between urban and country residents, the energy demand is cleaner. The changes of energy consumption per unit and consumption structure are thesignificant influential factors to decrease the energy consumption. The changesof intermediate demand per unit and urbanization have increased the energyconsumption. Therefore, there is a lot of improvement room which can makecontribute to our environment.
