The Research Of The Change Of The Ecological Footprint Under The Transformation Of Economic Development Pattern In Fujian Province

The urgent and significant strategic mission to China is accelerating thetransformation of the economical development pattern, improving the quality ofeconomic development and the efficiency of resource utilization. At present, theprominent contradiction that our nation confronts during the process of economicdevelopment is the relative shortage of resources, deterioration of ecologicalenvironment with economic development, which is also a problem of the economicdevelopment in Fujian province. So, how to achieve sustainable development of theeconomy quickly and smoothly, and realize the transformation of the economicaldevelopment pattern under the condition lacking of resources is an urgent issue forFujian province to solve.From the view of relationship between the economical development and theenvironment, this paper takes the ecological footprint under the transformation of theeconomical development pattern in Fujian province as the research object. What`smore, based on energy analysis, this article constructs an ecological footprint modelof Fujian province, and calculates the ecological footprint and ecological capacity ofFujian province from2002to2011. The results show that Fujian province has been ina state of ecological deficit for10years. Fujian province didn’t deal well with therelationships between the economic developments and the protection of ecologicalenvironment at the same time.In order to reduce ecological deficit, Fujian province should focus on reducingthe ecological footprint and the transformation of the economical development pattern.Based on the requirements of transforming the economical development pattern, thispaper selects several related parameters about the transformation of economicaldevelopment pattern, and uses the SPSS software to analyze the correlations betweenthe transformations of economical development pattern and the ecological footprint.The results show that the quantitative pattern of economic development can’t reducethe ecological footprint, and the ecological benefits that increase of rate of investment in science, technology and the proportion of tertiary industry brings has not yetshowed. Fujian province needs to continue to work hard in the transformation ofindustrial structure and the environmental protection business. Through theestablishment of multiple linear regression model and principal component regression,this article found the model’s fitting effect is good, which can truly reflect the changeof the ecological footprint of Fujian province.From the perspective of the relationshipbetween economical development and the environment, this article also summed upthe experience of economical development in foreign developed countries. At last,this article puts forward several policy suggestions to accelerate the transformation ofthe economical development pattern and reduce the ecological deficit in Fujianprovince, such as the individual strategy, improved mechanism strategy, efficiencystrategy, contraction strategy and expansion strategy.
