Study On The Risk Evaluation Of Typhoon In Tourist Destination Island

Based on the research of hazard indicators, environmental disaster indicators,exposure indicators and resilience indicators of typhoon disaster, this article has builda risk evaluation index system of typhoon in island tourist destination. It has used thetheories of natural disaster system, the sustainable development and risk managementand so on, with the help of AHP and PHOTOSHOP, to assess and analysis thetyphoon risk value in each scenic spot and in each town in Pingtan. With a result offigure of hazard indicators in Pingtan, figure of environmental disaster indicators inPingtan, figure of exposure indicators in Pingtan, figure of resilience indicators inPingtan and figure of comprehensive risk of typhoon in Pingtan. Via analysis of thedistributions of typhoon, this article has get a conclusion that the risk value oftyphoon is getting weaker from towns along the seaside to the towns lay inside theisland, from eastern towns to western towns, from towns in satellite island to towns inmain island. These conclusions are cope with our common sense. Finally, this articlehas raised some advises about disaster preventions and mitigations of typhoon andtourist development plans in each scenic spot and in each town in Pingtan, providedtheory basis for the decision making of the government. These advises are as follows:strengthen the infrastructure construction in each scenic spot, improve the abilities ofresistance of typhoon; strengthen the construction of early warning forecast system,improve the abilities of monitoring and warning; strengthen the construction ofdisaster emergency system, improve the abilities of emergency disposal; strengthenthe construction of publicity and education system, improve the tourists’ and citizens’sense of typhoon defense; strengthen the construction of insurance system of typhoondisaster, improve the abilities of financial sharing.
