Research On Tourist Island Socio-ecologicalsystem Resilience

The 21 st century is the century of the ocean.The island is an important part of marine development in line with national implementation of the "marine power" strategy.Island tourism is sought after owing to its unique geographical environment and culture not only expands the development scale of island tourism but also becomes the main disturbance factor of tourism social ecological system,and deepens the vulnerability of island tourism.The island tourism on the west coast of the Straits is an important area for the development of marine tourism in China.Taking the Dongshan Island of Fujian Province as an example,the change and influence law of social ecosystem resilience and adaptive regulation and management are studied under the background of tourism development,,which is helpful to promote the sustainable development of island tourism.This paper studies the structure and function of social-ecological system of Dongshan Island tourism,the evolutionary process and the vulnerability of tourism resources in Dongshan Island by literature analysis and field research,spatial analysis,rooting theory and mathematical statistical analysis,etc.Based on the establishment of the evaluation system of the social-ecosystem resilience of island tourism destination,this paper selects the relevant surrogate indicators to measure and evaluate the temporal variation of resilience,and makes a correlation study on the correlation factors.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Using the spatial analysis of GIS to study the tourism resources,tourism hotels and tourism development,this paper shows that the distribution of tourism resource and infrastructure in Dongshan Island are mainly located in Tongling Town and Kangmei Town,which is also an earlier tourist development,tourist-intensive areas.And the northern part is more than the southern,the eastern part is more than the internal.(2)The vulnerability of social ecological system in Dongshan Island tourism area is obviously at the ecological level,that is,the sensitivity of ecological subsystem is obvious,which reflects the development of island tourism,and makes local residents feel strongly about the change of natural ecological environment.(3)Based on the social-ecological system resilience evaluation system of Dongshan Island,according to the final results of the last 14 years data,the resilience index of Dongshan Island tourism social-ecological system shows an upward trend.The individual years of negative growth mainly concentrated from 2004 to 2006,and from 2007 to the present,the resilience index began to increase gradually,from the rm value of 0.4091 in 2007 to the 2013 rm value of 0.5679,the system's function is gradually enhanced.(4)Among the factors which can influence social-ecological resilience of Dongshan Island tourism,the correlation between coping ability factor and the restoring force is higher than that of vulnerability factor,and the coping capacity factor and recovery of economic subsystem is the highest,which indicates that the response ability of island tourism area can influence the resilience of the system more effectively.Therefore,improving the response ability of the system is the key way to strengthen the system of restoring force.
