Since the1990s, the information technology had experienced a rapid development,from this point, we were going through a rapid development in science and technology, anincreasingly high degree of economic globalization, and the humanity entered into a newera of global competition. Business competition is not only in the enterprise level, it isalso exist between regions and cities. From those economic theories, we learned that theworld’s resources will eventually flow to the superior region, which is why the regionaldevelopment is facing more direct competitions, along with opportunities and challenges.To handle these, the regional manager should apply a new concept into his management,to create a new strategy from the beginning. Analyze the advantages and potentials of thedevelopment, making market programs, to gather more useful resources and factors intoproduction, take active measures to increase the attractiveness of foreign investors ortourists.Hexi District is located in the southeast of Tianjin, neighborhood of the Haihe River,it is an important business region of Tianjin. This paper will investigate the marketingstatus of the Hexi District based on case studies. This paper will discuss from four parts:First, a brief introduction of the research background, outline the status and significanceof the regional marketing strategies. In the second part, use PEST analysis analyzes thestatus of Hexi District’s marketing strategy, point out its necessity. Apply SWOT toanalyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the region, use it as animportant basis for design and implement the marketing strategy. Third, aim themarketing target from three aspects, the tourists, the investors and the habitat market. Thefourth part: to design the overall marketing strategy of Hexi District, including theproduct, CIS design, organization and implementation of the marketing strategy. As aconclusion, the implementation of the marketing strategy is an important measure tomaintain and enhance the competitive strength of Hexi District.
