With the speeding up of industrialization and urbanization in our country, the energyconsumption in china will continue to sharply increase, energy and environmental constraintsof bottleneck is becoming more and more close to carry the bottom line. Energy efficiency isone of the basic way to solve the problem of energy and the environment in our country, isalso the key point of the economic growth mode transformation in our country, in the currentimplementation of the scientific outlook on development and building a harmonious societybackground and situation, improve the provincial energy efficiency is more practicalimportance and urgency. Based on the benchmarking management thoughts as the instruction, through the usage of DEA, the measurement methods of cluster analysis to analyze theenergy efficiency, the difference of regional energy efficiency and the influencing factors ofenergy efficiency and the search for energy efficiency of path of ascension. After analysis andresearch, this article research conclusion has the following points:First, the definition of the concept of energy efficiency is still a lack of unified, differentmethods and indexes to measure out the energy efficiency of the difference is very big, evenwith the intuitive and realistic observation.Second, the energy consumption characteristics of most provinces of China, on thewhole, can be summarized as "macro expansion" and "micro energy efficiency improvement".Third, the empirical analysis results show that the economic development level, technology level, the degree of economic openness, foreign in accordance with the lazydegree, industrial structure and energy consumption structure are the influencing factors ofenergy efficiency in China, but the influence degree is different.Fourth, the various provinces and cities in different stages of the energy efficiency canchoose different benchmarking study.
