Research On Farmhouse Tourism To Rural Environmental Influences In Lin’an City

There is rich rural tourism resource in Lin’an City, and the farmhouse tourism has beendeveloped fast and well, which brings economic and social benefits. For recent years, along with theproject of new rural construction, all levels of government of Lin’an City increase more capitalinvestment on farmhouse tourism so that the farmhouse tourism has developed another positivefunction of improving both ecological and rural environment. However, at the same time, the fastdevelopment of farmhouse tourism also brought side effects; it already brought tremendous pressurefor the ecological environment, and passive effect for the rural environment which became theobstacles for the sustainable development of farmhouse tourism.Choosing Lin’an City as research subject, this article is to study the influences of farmhousetourism to rural environment such as the environment of air, water, living organisms and ground, withthe theories of tourism sustainable development, life cycle in tourism area, threshold and circulareconomy, so as to get the result how the farmhouse tourism influences the rural environment. Theresearch method in this article includes questionnaires, etc.The research found the influences of farmhouse tourism to rural environment is the double-edgedsword. The farmhouse tourism brings positive impacts to the rural environment, however, if itdevelops too fast blindly, it also brings more passive impacts instead. For example, the farmhousetourism has the seasonal feature, and too many tourists popped up at seasonal peak definitely broughtpassive impact to the rural environment. Car exhaust gases, barbecue smoke, sewage water pollution,farmland trampling, over fishing, and over hunting, also affect the ecological environment in ruralareas. Although the passive impact is not so obvious till now, the too fast development of farmhousetourism resulting in more passive impacts will finally block it toward sustainable development. Thusthis article tries to give some suggestions: to enhance the awareness of environmental protection, setup strict examination and approval system to manage farmhouse tourism, deal with environmentalpollution comprehensively, build up the detection system of environmental carrying capacity forfarmhouse tourism, and establish the ecological compensation system, so as to promote thesustainable development of farmhouse tourism in Lin’an City.
