A Study On The Developing Mode Of The Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives In Zhejiang Province

With the agricultural modernization and the degree of Marketization increasing， the form ofagricultural production changes significantly. In agricultural production， only farmers’ individualoperation has been unable to meet the requirements of developing market. In this trend， as theeconomic organization which meets the modern agricultural production’s requirements， thefarmers’ professional cooperatives are developing rapidly for this need. It is the basic part topromote famers to be involved in the markets，the new entity to develop rural collective economyand the effective carrier to innovate rural society management. However， there are still someproblems in the development of the farmers’ professional cooperatives. If they can’t be solved intime， it will prevent the farmers’ professional cooperatives from developing continuously andhealthily. This paper makes a study on the mode of farmers’ professional cooperatives in Zhejiangprovince.On the basis of transaction cost theory， rural collective action theory and the industrializationof agriculture theory， through literature review， field survey， it analyzes the current status ofthe farmers’ professional cooperatives in Zhejiang Province. By the case analysis， this paper setsforth the characteristics， advantages and disadvantages of some modes of the farmers’professional cooperatives. At the same time， it also points out the main problems: small scale，weak driving force， lack of management personnel， shortage of education training， lack ofstandardization of management mechanism， faultiness of supportive policy， etc. Finally， somecountermeasures and suggestions are put forward to perfect the mode of Zhejiang farmers’professional cooperatives through the experience from the farmers’ professional cooperativesmode of developed countries and areas as well as according to Zhejiang practical situation: toexpand developing scale， to enhance cooperation driving force， to strengthen talents training，to promote development by standardization， to perfect interior operation mechanism， to makesupportive policies and to optimize external environment.
