Since Chongqing was approved as the national coordinating urban and ruralcomprehensive reform pilot area in2007，the process of urbanization in Chongqing ispromoted constantly，the new rural construction flourish under the guidance of thenational macro-policy，and in this process，We have a very important issue to clear：thenew rural construction and urbanization in Chongqing can never be separated. Whenengaging in the construction of new rural， we must weigh the interest of theurbanization，meanwhile，process of urbanization should also take into account thenew rural construction. They should not conflict with each other，but should be mutuallypromoted and coordinately developed.In order to promote the new rural construction and urbanization in Chongqingsuccessfully，we need to have a clear understanding of the level of the coordinateddevelopment of its new rural construction and urbanization，Only in this way can wemore accurately locate the specific problems in the new rural construction anddevelopment process of urbanization，and put forward some practical solutions. Thisstudy is based on the following idea：first，we have an in-depth research on thecontents， differences and connections between the new rural construction andurbanization，point out dynamic mechanism of coordinated development of new ruralconstruction and urbanization，think that urbanization can drive the develop of the newrural construction，meanwhile，The construction of new rural play a role in promotingthe urbanization，have a clear knowing that the inevitability and necessity adhere to thecoordinated development of new rural construction and urbanization. Then pointed outthat the level of the new rural construction and urbanization can be evaluated accordingto a large number of indicators，under the requirements of the scientific，operational，systemic and comparability principle，We constructed the vertical and horizontal indexsystem，And then through the SPSS statistical software，analysis the vertical andhorizontal coordination of the development of new rural construction and urbanizationin Chongqing. The longitudinal results showed that：the overall level of development ofurban and rural co-ordination showing an unstable trend between1997and2011，specially，the level of development of urban and rural co-ordination presents a seriousdownward trend in1997-2006，after2007， the level of coordination of urban and ruralgrowed significantly faster，showing a trend of rapid development. Needless to say，this is because Chongqing was approved as urban and rural comprehensive reform pilot area in2007，then the urban and rural development was put on the agenda，it is also thereflect of the Chongqing municipal government have done a lot of hard work. At thesame time，horizontal results show that：the level of development of new ruralconstruction and urbanization in various districts of Chongqing，Presented by the "onecircle" to the "two wings" layer decreases characteristics，It is also related to the historicand reality reasons. In the end of this article，according to the understanding of newrural construction and urbanization in Chongqing，we use the interactive developmenttheory，suggest three modes of Chongqing new rural construction and urbanizationinteractive development to promote their coordinated development.
