The competition between modern enterprises is not one-to-one competition, but rather that between many enterprises, and also between"multinational troops". Fundamentally, it is the competition between different supply chains of different enterprises. Supply chain management, as a trend of development for modern enterprise, is worth more concern from enterprise administrators and researchers on this subject. Therefore, supply chain management, which is capable of boosting an enterprise'competence and is also one of the latest trends, is well worth more attention. This thesis took supply chain management of Company A as its key object of study, employing positivism analysis to investigate the objective enterprise– Company A(medium and small-sized pressure vessel enterprises) Based on a studies of supply chain management, strategic management, logistics science, and modern enterprise administration, the author investigated the actual situation of Company A and carefully studied the characteristics of its demand and problems it faced. Starting from the characteristics of Company A, the author suggested ways for adjustment and solutions for Company A in terms of supply chain strategies and operation. Firstly, the author analyzed the history and status quo of Company A, the characteristics of its product and the industry, as well as its competitors, and compared the similarities and differences between Company A and its equivalents. Then the author employed knowledge of supply chain management to analyze the problems and weaknesses of Company A in terms of both macro level (supply chain strategy) and micro level (supply chain operation), following that with a feasible solution. In the macro level, the analysis was based on the matching of supply chain strategies and competition strategies of Company A; in the micro level, the author chiefly analyzed each of the four driving elements of supply chain operation. This thesis applied theories of supply chain management to specific case study– that of Company A, and suggested tentative solutions accordingly. It is hoped to promote the development of Company A by means of raising the level of its supply chain management. Meanwhile, the thesis can apply to corporations of similar circumstances. The author hopes that these efforts can help enterprises better implement the matching of supply chain strategies and supply chain management.
