Urbanization is a theoretical problem and practice tasks far from complete in China. Since reform and opening-up policy, the industrialization process in China have made remarkable achievement, however, the urbanization development lags behind relatively.Obvious to all, the development of SME clusters in China’s southeast coastal areas effectively promote the development of the industrialization and urbanization of local. Research indicates that the urbanization development level of China’s southeast coastal economically developed areas almost without exception, are closely related with the good growth of industrial clusters. In this context, It is undoubtedly has an important theoretical significance and practical significance that discussed the driven mechanism of the industrial clusters on the urbanization process to provide policy recommendations for the backward regions through the development of industrial clusters to promote local urbanization.Industrial cluster is an important driving force of urbanization in the initial stages of industrial clusters. The interaction of the employment multiplier effect, innovation advantages, agglomeration effect and the brand effect which arising from industrial clusters grow thing, will promote the rural population to urban population transfer, the industrial structure upgrading and urban comprehensive competitiveness strengthen. This paper analyzed the driven mechanisms of industrial clusters on the process of urbanization using the Henan province industry cluster for the case. Moreover, this paper is to verify that the driven mechanism of industrial clusters in the process of urbanization is existence, using a quantitative method with data about concentration degree and urbanization degree of Henan province.
