Analysis And Evaluation Of The Competitiveness Of Listed Companies In The Construction Industry Of Our Country

The rapid development of the construction industry plays a vital role in both the economic and social development in China in the30years since the reform and opening up. It is recognized as one of the important pillars of a nation’s economy contributed by its high output value and high employment capacity. The reason why this article to listed companies in the construction industry as the research object is that the listed companies are the quality of assets in the construction industry and they are also an important force in China’s national economic development. The competitiveness of the construction listed companies determines the competitiveness of the construction industry to a large extent.On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the competitive environment in China’s construction industry, we selected profitability, operational capacity, solvency, innovation, governance capacity, the growing ability and market development capacity as the level indicators, and Weighted ROE, Net profit margin, diluted ROE and etc. as21secondary indicators to construct the index system for the evaluation of the competitiveness of China’s listed companies of the construction industry. We use the AHP method and Principal component analysis to determine the index weights and the weighted evaluation method to lead comprehensive competitive evaluation. Based on the53listed companies from Construction industry sector on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, we choose the total assets of the front of the ten listed companies of the construction industry as a sample study. To provide a reference for China’s construction enterprises respond to the opportunities and challenges of economic transition period and it also provide decision-making reference for the construction of enterprise managers. It fully embodies the role of the industry benchmark of listed companies in China’s construction industry which will help promote the competitiveness of the entire construction industry’s enhancement. On this basis, we put forward the countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of China’s listed companies of the construction industry.
