Enterprise is one of the most common forms of organization in modern economy. Ever since the enterprise generated, the form of its organization is constantly changing, as well as the way that the enterprises are operated. During late primitive society, private property rights regime sprout makes the production organization developed into the family organization, after which the late feudal society organizations handicraft workshop marked the birth of the original model of the enterprise. After the industrial revolution, the use of the machine factory system gradually replaced the hand manufacturing factory. Subsequently, the development of information technology promoted the expansion of the market, and gradually formed modern industrial and commercial enterprises. With the rapid development of economy, economic globalization trend is more significant than before. In addition, along with the development of the network, virtual enterprise, represented by e-commerce companies, has come into people’s daily life. The organizational form of enterprise is quite different from its original form. In the new economic situation, how to understand the operation of the enterprise has become an important issue in our thinking.Time and space are the basic forms in which enterprises operate their daily economic activities. Thus it is quite necessary to explore the operation of enterprises in time-spatial perspective. This essay first summarizes the classical theory, neo-classical theory, the theory of Marx and modern enterprise theory’s view on enterprise. Then from the perspective of time-spatial, using non-homogeneous time value theory and the theory of displacement chain to analyze the enterprise. When using value chain as a starting point, this paper analyzes the research and development stage, production stage, delivery stage, the sales stage and after-sales stage in the value chain, coming to the point that solidifying the relationship with time and space between business enterprises can enhance value; when using displacement of the chain theory as a starting point, this paper analyzes the uncertainty in the supply chain, namely the bullwhip effect on the displacement distance of the chain, trying to get to the point that how solidifying the relationship with time and space between business enterprises reduces uncertainty, thus shortening the chain displacement distance and reducing operating costs. And last, choosing multinational enterprise Toyota and e-commerce enterprise Jingdong as case analysis to empirically further explore the operation of enterprise in time-spatial perspective. Ultimately, based on time-spatial perspective, the enterprise performs its daily operation by constantly solidifying the relationship with time and space in an uncertain environment.
