Study On The Consumption Structure Of Rural Residents In Hunan Province

In recent years, with the rapid development of the national economy, the national standard of living, social security has been greatly improved, people’s desire to consume has been more and more strong. The same is true in the rural areas, the income of rural residents has been improved, and living conditions have been protected, the spending power of farmers have an important impact on the national economy. The18th National Congress of the CPC clearly stated income doubling target for the first time, in2020, with income doubling, China’s consumption rate has significantly improved at the same time, and will firmly become the world’s largest consumer market, achieve a significant progress in promoting the transformation of economic development mode. The balance, coordination and sustainability of China’s economic development have been significantly enhanced, will get rid of the status of long-term over-reliance on exports and investment to promote economic growth, to make the economic development to rely more on domestic demand, especially consumer demand. But the current situation of China’s consumer market is not optimistic, after the eighties twice upgrades changes, the consumption of urban residents came into the new consumer upgrade preparatory period, the propensity to consume slowed down, upgrading of consumption structure blocked, and consumption growth can not be sustained. And rural residents has been restricted by the traditional concepts and economic conditions, resulting in a lower level of overall consumer, spending habits behind, the consumption structure is irrational, but the rural consumer has a greater potential and room for development, only driven to improve the consumption of rural residents to make up for the deficiencies of the whole economy consumer market. Therefore, to expanding the domestic demand and stimulating the economic growth, the focus should be on rural areas.The article is in the actual circumstances of the current state of rural residents ’consumption structure, to study the consumption structure of rural residents from all aspects, and to analyze the problems and reasons, to find the path to improve the rural residents’ consumption structure. Therefore, the article choose the Hunan Province which has a good economic foundation of the central agricultural of rural residents in as the research object, to use the Engel coefficient, establish a more comprehensive analysis ELES model, gray correlation degree to study the consumption structure of rural residents, and with other provinces multifaceted contrast, found that the problems existed in Hunan rural residents’ consumption structure and the direction of development. The author believes that the study of the rural residents’ consumption structure of Hunan Province has some typical, it has not only in-depth understanding of the rural consumer market in Hunan Province, to guide the rural residents improve the consumption structure has important practical significance, and has an important reference on the comparative study of the consumption structure of national (the East, the Central and the West) rural residents and promoting our entire consumer.
