This thesis focuses on a detailed and thorough analysis of the electronic information manufacturing industry in China, and discovers that sales revenue of this industry over the years is closely related to the development trend of export volume. According to respective export ratio of enterprises in electronic information manufacturing industry listed in China Industrial Enterprises Database, this study places all enterprises in a hierarchical order and divides them into four categories. From the classification and contrastive analysis in this study, it is noted that industrial sales volume per capita and business profit per capita of export enterprises exceeds those of non-export enterprises, and that those of enterprises with higher export ratio exceeds those of enterprises of lower export ratio. It is inferred from these findings that productivity in export enterprises of the electronic information manufacturing industry in China is higher than the one in non-export enterprises. As with export subsidies in this industry, with reference to compilation of relevant data, this study suggests that increase in export subsidies will lead to increase in the number of enterprises in this industry, and yet dramatic decline in labor growth rate as well. In addition, it employs trade models with heterogeneous firms and introduces to it the asymmetry of preferences of domestic and foreign markets; it also expands from the Melitz model and analyses internal mechanism between export subsidies and productivity. To conclude, this study includes an empirical research on enterprises in electronic information manufacturing industry in China from2005to2009, expounds on relations between productivity in an enterprise and export trade, and offers suggestions on promoting industrial competitiveness. From the findings in this study, except for the year of2006, the amount of export subsidies in the electronic information manufacturing industry in China is small enough so that "Productivity Paradox" does not occur, which agrees with trade models with heterogeneous firms as trade liberalization promotes efficient allocation of resources and increases industrial competitiveness. Additionally, this thesis also proposes that the emergence of "Productivity Paradox" might be attributed to the imperfect market system in China and the unapparent filter feature of productivity resulting from the large amount of export subsidies.
