Analysis Of Popular Science Base Activity And Its Mechanism Of Action

With the rapid development of science and technology, level of the public’s scientific and technology literacy becomes more and more important to a nation’s future. Popular science base as an important form of science popularization work and it plays an irreplaceable role. Popular science base activity’s mechanism of action was studied by literature analysis, theoretical analysis and other research methods.This paper was started with introducing some concepts about popular science base,Sociology of Knowledge, the Sociology of Science and Knowledge (SSK), the philosophy of scientific practices and constructivist stduying theory, followed with classifications of popular science base and analysis content of its activity. And then deeply analyze activity’s situation, participation and construction of popular science base.Because there are still many problems about construction of popular science bases in our country,for example popular science base activity’s contents are relatively monotonous, old-fashioned form, in the initial stage by comparing with foreign development leve, obstacles of function realizing and so on.This paper was based on popular science base construction principle, and proposed effective suggestions about constructing popular science base.Through reviewing many articles,author found that so far researches about popular sicence base were lack of theoretical analysis.And suggestions about construction of popular science base were formalism.This paper is based on Sociology of Knowledge, the Sociology of Science and Knowledge (SSK), the philosophy of scientific practices and constructivist stduying theory, followed with analysis content of its activity and summarizing activity’s features. Finally,author put forward suggestions about constructing popular science base in terms of construction principle.
