Research On The Public Demand Of Community Popular Science Education In Harbin

With the global development, China has entered into a critical period of theconstruction of an innovative country. The capital city of Harbin in heilongjiangprovince should use science technology to support the developments and benefitsthe public. Promoting the public to understand, support, and participate to thetechnology innovation and improving citizens’ science quality are the primarytask in the future. Literally, strengthen the community popular science of Harbinis the foundation of building a harmony society. However, in term of the currentsituation of Harbin, the target focused by the community popular science iscomplex. The content covered by community popular science is also broad.Simply relying on traditional model may not keep up with the pace of socialadvancement. Indeed, science education should be diversity, personalization andsocialization. Based on the analysis of community popular science in Harbin, theresearcher found some problems and also provided some relevantrecommendations.In this paper, related concepts and theories of the demand of communitypopular science are initially referred. And then, through the survey of communitypopular science in Harbin, problems among science education are found andanalyzed. According to these problems, researchers think of some suggestions.The research shows that the position of popular science is growingimportant. Citizens of Harbin have new demands on the content, channels, andcarrier of popular science. Firstly, science development should satisfy publicneeds. Secondly science development should satisfy the whole country andsociety’s needs. The primary purpose of popular science is to promote thesociety’s sustainable development and increase the public science quality. Finally,science development is not closed and exclusive. It will be interactive andalternating according to the propagation mode of social network. In view of theabove, this paper proposed the public-oriented science mode based onpropagation mode of social network and suggestions.
