On Present Situation And Its Countermeasures Of Popular Science In Urban Community

It is the essential task for the community to publicize the knowledge of science and technology, scientific method, thought and spirit, but also which is the realization of popular science advances with times and innovation. The community popular science activities have a character, it possess a great region nature and practice characteristic. So the research on residents’ contentment about community popular science has a practical significance that is to know the state of urban community popular science activities and impel its job develops. Meanwhile, it contributes to enhance STS study by practice research on community popular science in specific location.Documentary analysis and questionnaire method are the main research approach in this paper. According to the residents’acknowledgement, attitude and participation in popular science activity, I launched an investigation on community inhabitants in Shenyang Dadong district. On the bases of results analysis, this paper makes a theoretical analysis on the existing problems and proposes some useful countermeasures.The main contents of the paper are:firstly defining the urban community popular science, analyze the function of it. Secondly, from questionnaires, I get the initial results. That is, the popular science activities in Shenyang are launching smoothly, and achieve much from the residents’conventional acceptance about it. Thirdly, according to the existing problems, this paper raises three principles:science and humanity unified win-win situation and system synergy combined community popular science with leisure time. And then I propose some concrete measures, including:intensify technology literacy education; guide the inhabitants take part in the popular science in leisure time; enhance the residents’motivation to participation; enforce organization leadership, so as leading the community popular science activities advance to a new state of orderliness.
