Analysis Of The Present Situation Of Tea Industry Development And Countermeasure Proposal In Mingshan County

Mingshan County, with beautiful scenery, has a long history of tea production, which has been two thousand years. It is the earliest written records of artificial cultivation of tea area in China, known as "the World Tea, Tea Ancestor". After years of development, especially in last few years, owing to the strategy of "tea industry riches county" which the Party committee and government adhere to, tea industry has achieved a leap-style development. It has become the pillar industry of economy and the backbone project of the peasants. The advantageous natural condition to the tea growth, the deep culture of tea quality, the rich variety of tea resources, the abundant labor and intellectual resources, the sound system of improved tea varieties as well as the vast tea garden throughout the county, make tea the advantage industry of Mingshan County. Vigorously developing tea industry is the key way to increase income of the peasants. Speeding up the development of tea industry is the inevitable choice to promote the rural economy.Based on the theory of sustainable development and the theory of ecological economics, this thesis elaborates the connotation of tea industrialization and cultuer. By analyzing the prospects of domestic tea industry, and citing several examples of tea industry development in the world’s major tea producing countries and provinces, this thesis sums up the experience for reference. By analyzing the advantage of tea industry in Mingshan County, the thesis explains the course and measures of tea industry development. Under the premise of analyzing its present situation, the thesis disserts the restricting factors, and points out that if the county wants to speed up the development of tea industry, it must grasp three key points:taking the road of sustainable development, ensuring the tea’s quality and safety, and improving the core competitiveness of enterprises. Finally, it puts forward several suggestions:making great efforts to ensure the security of tea base construction, making the leading enterprises stronger and bigger, building the brand of "Mengding Tea", promoting tea culture of Mengding Mountain, and strengthening service system construction.
