A Research On The Tourism Value Of TV Tower

In recent years, many famous TV towers in the world have shifted its function tofocus on the tourism function, It is developing rapidly to be landmarks of the city.The rapid development of TV tower needs the resources to be as a material foundationand prerequisite conditions. A correct evaluation of the tourism value of the TV towerhas great significance to the effective protection and rational exploitation of TV towerresources. However, the current research in the tourism value of the TV tower is stillvery weak, the theory study lags behind the practice. In addition, if we simply use the"Classification, Survey and Evaluation of Tourism Resources "(GB/T18972-2003)national standard to evaluate the tourism value of the TV tower, it can not highlightthe characteristics of its resources and resource quality, and also can not make anobjective, comprehensive, systematic and effective evaluation. In this context, thisarticle makes an exploratory research in the tourism value of the TV tower.With an in-depth study on current tourism development of TV tower，This studyuses evaluation index system of the tourism value, landscape aesthetics theory,location theory, tourism market theory and sustainable development theory to buildthe index hierarchy structure model of the tourism value evaluation of the TV towerwith the Delphi technique,and uses the AHP to determine the weight of each indexvalue, finally builds the evaluation index system of the tourism value of the TV tower.This paper takes Canton Tower and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower for the study load tostudy the evaluation of the two tourism area and analyze the differences among theevaluation results. Finally, this paper uses the index of regional impact to studydeeply.The analysis shows that: formal beauty, harmony、 functional aesthetic, thepopularity and reputation、ecological environment have the most important weightvalue; relationship with surrounding scenic spots、fund and policy、the politicalsituation of the city、tourist culture、the openness and inclusiveness of culture、thehospitality of the local residents、construction volume、public-infrastructure have the minimum weight value. From the perspective of the total score of evaluation, thescore of Canton Tower is slightly higher than that of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.Canton Tower scores slightly lower than that of the Oriental pearl tower on indicators,such as the popularity and reputation、history and culture loading、geographiclocation、relationship with surrounding scenic spots、the internal and external trafficconditions、the economic development、the market of tourist source、sense of pride、tourism facilities、public-infrastructure. However, the rest other indicators scorehigher than that of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. In addition, the region influencescope of the Oriental pearl tower is larger than that of the Canton Tower.
