The Study On The Influence Of International Standards Gap To Our Tea Export Trade

With the rapid progress of economic globalization, the competition of standards has become the focus of the competition in current international market,the standards gap has great impacts on international trade.Tea is the traditional export goods of our country,and plays an important role in China’s agricultural trade.In recent years,the tea export of China is keeping steady and rapid increase. However,at the same time, for the purpose of protecting their citizens,developed countries such as the Europe Union,Japan and the United States constantly publish new standards of tea,increase pesticides test programmes and the standards of pesticides remain limit,all of which has thrown great threats to our tea export considering the hinder of the standards,so it is valuable to do careful study on the gap between domestic and international standards and its effects, find countermeasures to shorten the gap and promote our tea exports.This thesis’research object is the gap between the domestic and international standards.This article systematicaly and deeply studies the effects of the standards gap.First,analyses the situation of the domestic and international standards,on the basis of which,analysing the standards’gap between China and developed countries such as the Europe Unionjapan and the United States,and find out the existed problems in the construction of our standards system. Second,connect with the situation of our tea export trade,on the basis of arranging releant information and datas,analyses the stuation and reasons of our tea trade confront standards gap,then theoritically evaluates the double influence of the standards gap to our tea export.Then, concerning the tea export of China to the Europe Union,Japan and the United States,the panel data,from1995to2010,empirically analysing the impact from the international standards gap to China’tea trade.Finally,on the basis of empirical analysis, finally the article gives relevant countermeasures and suggestions on how to overcome the international standards gap from the government, enterprise and industry association three levels.
