Under the background of globalization of economy, with the coming of informationtimes, mobile internet and communication technology has developed. Enterprises arefacing tremendous changes and more drastic competition. In order to improvecompetitiveness of enterprises, more and more smart phones manufacturers choseresearch and development cooperation with upstream enterprises such as softwaredevelopers, operators. It can reduce the risk of innovation, shorten the developingperiod of new products. the trend of R&D cooperation between smart phone enterprisesbecoming more and more significant.With the background of smart phone industry, this paper analyzes strategy behaviorof cooperation R&D of Smart phone Manufacturers. First of all, this paper introducedthe state of competition in the smart phone industry and put forward the futuredevelopment of smart phone industry; Secondly, we elaborated the enterprisescompetition strategy theory, from the general competitive strategy extended to strategyof research and development and the cooperation R&D. Moreover, we analyzes theprinciple and influence factors about the selection of cooperation R&D, andestablished the game model of the upstream and downstream enterprise to analyze.Compared without cooperation R&D, this paper argued that companies can get higherprofits for choose the strategy of cooperation R&D. And enterprises will realize thegoal of maximization of profits, it has been cleared that enterprises should choose whatkind of development strategy for keep the leading position of competitors.At last, this paper takes the typical enterprises of Samsung and Nokia as examples,analyze the effect of two strategies what enterprises choose cooperation R&D ornot.The result will provide some beneficial enlightenment that how to develop thecompetition of Chinese smart phone manufacturers in the global market.
