Export credit insurance is now universally recognized as the means of tradepromotion. As a policy-related financial instrument, export credit insurance providesthe economic guarantee for the export of domestic enterprises and foreign investment,to encourage domestic enterprises to expand exports, open up foreign markets as astarting point. For external demand to achieve national stability, promote the strategicgoal of sustained economic growth in the post-financial crisis era, a series ofquestions to better promote and protect the enterprise exports, and how to make fulluse of export credit insurance is currently placed in our decision-making and thetheory of layer an important issue.Firstly, this paper analyses theoretically the important and positive role of exportcredit insurance in the development of the export enterprises, the cost of exportcredit insurance and social welfare using model analysis. Secondly, it takes thedevelopment of export credit insurance, its current situation and existing problems inChina as the analytical background, comparing with the typical international exportcredit insurance business, analyses the effect of export credit insurance on exportenterprises, combined with case study to illustrate the export credit insurance playeda major role in promoting the development of export enterprises. Thirdly, startingfrom the view of the empirical analysis, it studies the role of export credit insurancefor the development of China’s export enterprises and total export. Finally, based onthe analysis of the existing problems, this paper puts forward some relevantrecommendations for the development of our country’s export credit insurance fromthe two levels of the Chinese government and the China Export and Credit InsuranceCompany.
