China has many well-known liquor brands, but the lack of regional brand legally. Yibin City and Luzhou City of Sichuan Province, Zunyi city of Guizhou Province, known as the "Dionysian kissed land", is the most famous wine gathering area in china. The region not only has the unique ecological environment, long brewing history, superb brewing techniques, profound cultural background, but also has Moutai, Wuliangye, Luzhou Laojiao, Jiannanchun, their influence renowned abroad. The region has a foundation to create regional brand. Production mode is often the key to successful overseas regional brand. In2008, Sichuan’s government put forward the conception of "the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor", it was established in Yibin, Luzhou and Zunyi, built Bordeaux of Chinese liquor。Since Sichuan put forward the conception of "the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor", Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Sichuan Province PRC started apply for "the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor (Sichuan Liquor)" of GI immediately, because of absence in Guizhou, it is the largest product of GI by far. It will provide support for leg protection. Because of GI want to gain international recognition, it is first necessary to do GI protection in their source area. Therefore, it is based on "the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor (Sichuan Liquor)" of GI, Sichuan Liquor only has the opportunity to own the vast overseas market. In the process of apply for " the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor (Sichuan Liquor)" of GI, led by Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Sichuan Province PRC, support by Sichuan wine "six Golden Flowers", and offered a lot of help by many scientific research institutes, colleges and universities. It is declared finally. But this is only a good start, want to maintain a good brand, develop the brand value fully, there are a lot of things to do.This essay starts with the basic knowledge of the GI, learn from the successful experience of the protection of GI of French wine, put forward "the Golden Triangle of Chinese Liquor (Sichuan Liquor)" GI product protection related problems and suggestions.
