Analysis On Factors Affecting The Growth Of County-level Agricultural Economy

The prosperous mining industry of Fengtai County of Anhui Province promotes the localeconomic growth while deteriorates the agricultural ecological environment, which also puts theagricultural economy under enormous threat and pressure. Through prompt policies andmeasures, adjusting agricultural structure, determining agricultural development goals, theagricultural economy of Fengtai County achieved sound and rapid development after continuousexploration and practice. Fengtai Country gained an outstanding position among61counties inAnhui Province and become the model of growth of county-level agricultural economy.Therefore, how to obtain the county agricultural economy sustainable growth becomes theconcern of governments at all levels and economists.This paper uses the related data of agricultural economy in Fengtai County from1980to2011and the generalized C-D production function to analyze the influences brought by fixedassets investment, labor force, and agricultural acreage these factors. The regression model andvector error correction model are used during the analyses. The results show that totalagricultural output value is in direct proportion to the rural fixed asset investment and inverseproportion to labor force, and agricultural acreage. This paper provides references foragricultural economy policy-makers in other parts of Anhui Province.
