In the21st century, with the development of social economy and increase of disposable income, the hospitality industry has achieved great development, and the competition is fierce. The competition in the hospitality industry is reflected in competition of manpower resource, so the human resource is an important factor for hotels to remain competitive.Meanwhile as a labor-intensive industry, the hotel should strengthen and improve manpower resource management.However, the phenomenon of employee turnover in the hospitality has been very serious all the time. The employee turnover rate of hospitality industry is the highest in all industries, which has already seriously affected the operation and administration of hotels. Employee turnover may increase the economic cost of the hotel, like hiring, training and compensation. It also has a negative impact on employee’s working enthusiasm and loyalty. Employee turnover leads to the leakage of business secrets of the hotel, which can enhance pressure of competition and hinders the development of the hotel. So analyzing the reasons for employee turnover and proposing solutions are the premise to realize the optimum collocation and efficiency of manpower resource, and the key to obtaining competitive advantage and realizing sustainable, healthy development.We use A Hotel for the case study in this paper. The paper provides us with a brief introduction to the A Hotel and tells us the development status of hospitality industry. This paper describes the event of assistant Li’s resignation, jobs struggle, new employee’s resignation and the survey of job satisfaction and find the reasons for employee turnover of A Hotel, which include four factors, such as compensation system, recruitment system, performance appraisal and employee career management. Based on these reasons, this paper propounds suggestions for A Hotel to solve the problems. Through these specific countermeasures and suggestions, this paper expects to make a further improvement of the employee’s enterprise loyalty and sense of identity, enhance the rally power, reduce the flow of the employee and promote the development of A Hotel.
