Research On The Strategies For The Spatial Development Of Ningbo Meishan Bonded Port Area

With the acceleration of global economic integration, the industrial division and the international trade is deepen and enjoy a rapid development. The first bonded port area was founded in June2005and there were total14Bonded Port Areas in China by now. The bonded port area is not only a new kind of supervision mode of the custom in China during the process of the opening up to the out-side world, but also the embryonic form of the free trade port in China.Meishan is the5th bonded port area in our country. Since the foundation in2008, the exploration of its development is still on the first stage. As an important carrier of exploration and innovation, the development of Meishan bonded port area is also related to the implementation of the strategy of free trade zones of China and the construction of Shanghai international shipping center, as well as to the growth of Ningbo and southern region of the Yangtze River delta.The background, meaning and purpose of this research are stated in the front of this paper. Then on the basis of the former researches and summary of Chinese bonded functional areas in the developing process, the definition and function of the bonded port area are introduced, as well as the similarities and differences between the bonded port, the bonded port area and the free trade zones. Then under the studies of those perfect ports as the Hamburg Port, the Rotterdam port, Jebel Ali port, the Yangshan Port and the Tianjin port, this paper summarizes the relationship between the function of ports, the industry and the spatial development to a perfect free trade zone.Then through the analysis on the all levels of the inner and outer environment, the paper summarizes the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of Meishan bonded port area. Considering the function and industry, the method of the function system and industrial development is presented. In the end, this paper introduces some advices to the space development mode and policies formulation.As for the research methods, the author uses a combination of theory and data analysis, comparative analysis, qualitative analysis and empirical analysis, combined with the necessary charts and data, strengthening the conclusion persuasive.
