Research On The Ways In Servitization Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry

From the division of the world economy, developed countries graduallytransferred a part of industry to developing countries, which is forming the globalindustrial chain. And they move to the high value-added links with the increasingservice industry. The equipment manufacturing industry began to draw attention tothe service link which brings more value under the background. The traditionalequipment manufacturing industry depends on the rich natural resource and cheaplabor for obtaining the competitive advantage. As the resources cost more, China’sequipment manufacturing industry needs to rely on technological innovation orbusiness model innovation to get sustainable competitive advantage. Theservitization of the equipment manufacturing industry provides a new opportunity ofdevelopment, which will drive the development of equipment manufacturingindustry from the traditional dependence on natural resources and labor intodependence on knowledge, innovation and service.This paper studies the servitization development of equipment manufacturing, itstarts with the motivation of servitization and analyzes the process of serviceregional equipment manufacturing industry, and it summed up the main factorsaffecting the servitization development of equipment manufacturing industry fromenvironmental and organizational aspects. According to the method of SPSS andCobb-Douglas production function, it builds the evaluation model of the equipmentmanufacturing industry influence factors of service, and verifies the key factors ofservice in the equipment manufacturing industry, and reveals the mechanism of theservitization development of regional equipment manufacturing; According to thecharacteristics and regularity of servitization development of equipmentmanufacturing. From product service system with the value chain theory, it designedthe product-oriented to extend the value chain，integrated products and services toexpand the value chain, utility-oriented to build value net, and put forward the applicable conditions; Combined with applicable conditions, it proposes the selectionideas and methods, and conducts a qualitative analysis of conditions of servitizationrespectively from the economic environment, technology environment andorganization environment, and proposes the method to measure the degree ofservitization from the input-output view. Finally, it takes the equipmentmanufacturing industry of Heilongjiang province as an example for the empiricalanalysis, and proposes some suggestions. Through the research, the dissertationprovides theoretical reference for the servitization of equipment manufacturingindustry, and it contributes to China’s equipment manufacturing industry occupying afavorable position in the value chain.
