With the development of new Internet technology, the development of manufacturing industry has gradually changed from the original product processing stage to the service stage. How to improve the competitive advantage of the manufacturing enterprises through the service is an important issue which needs to be solved urgently in the theoretical and business circles at present.In this study, the integrated value chain theory, contingency theory and manufacturing enterprise service related theoretical research are used to study the manufacturing industry service transition mechanism. Firstly, based on the theory of value chain, this paper discusses the necessity of using the service strategy to enhance the competitive advantage of the manufacturing industry. Secondly, based on contingency theory and discusses the rationality of service strategy from environment, organization of two factors. I investigate the transformation mechanism of manufacturing service from two aspects of environment(ICT technology, competitive intensity, customer price sensitivity)and organization(organizational structure, brand awareness). Using spss16.0 statistical software to make an empirical analysis of the influencing factors. The results show that ICT technology, competitive intensity, customer price sensitivity, organizational structure, brand awareness have significant impact on the service strategy. Finally, the development path of service-oriented manufacturing industry is analyzed from the perspective of product service system,and it is pointed out that the development path is from five product service systems.This paper focuses on the product-oriented PSS, using-oriented of PSS and utility-oriented PSS and in order to study the changes of factors under different stages.Thus, according to the various stages of influencing factors of the role of the strength of the situation,the effective control of the factors of this stage and while closely following the next phase of the important factors to achieve the transition to be ready for service. In addition, with the aid of AndyNeely elements of the service of 12 types of established the theoretical relationship between service mode and service stage, so as to provide some reference in selection of different stages of the mode of manufacturing service.
