The Technological Efficiency Study Of Bank Of Nanjing Based On DEA

Bank Of Nanjing is the representative in Jiangsu’s own commercial banks whichare the important ingredient of Jiangsu’s financial system. Its asset scale andmarket share in financial market are increasing year by year, whose operatingefficiency is of importance to financial market’s healthy, speedy, steady andordered development. However, Jiangsu’s own financial system is possessed withdense planning economics character and economic development is also at theinitial stage, the development of Jiangsu’s own commercial banks has remainedrelatively stagnant, it is also at a relatively low level of competitiveness.In this paper, the study is based on the previous achievement in economicsand modern finance. From the financial reform and development background inJiangsu, we with the help of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, studythe efficiency problem of Bank Of Nanjing and its influence factor. In this paper,we define the relevant conceptions of the commercial bank’s efficiency at first.The we card an important and cutting-edge model of DEA method, and thendescribed the method and its principle at length. Secondly, we give an empiricalresearch of the efficiency of Bank Of Nanjing and other15commercial banks withuse the DEA method base on the panel data from2007-2012of China’s commercialbanks. The we give a brief analysis and summarize about the general conclusions.Third, we study the influencing factors of its efficiency and put an emphasis onbank property, asset quality, bank scale and foreign strategic investment. At last,we give some suggestion and policies.
