Study On The Relationship Between Entrepreneurship And Enterprise Performance Of High-tech Enterprises

The corporate entrepreneurship is the source and driving force of the corporatesustainable development, for high-tech enterprises, entrepreneurship is a goodmedicine to solve problems like "difficult to grow up, short-lived”. Realizing theimportance of entrepreneurship fully and taking appropriate actions lay the foundationfor the health and sustainable development of the high-tech enterprises.Firstly, this paper discusses the relationship between entrepreneurship andbusiness performance of the high-tech enterprises through theoretically literaturereview, and the uncertainties of the environmental impact on this relationship isconsidered. Thus the seven assumptions are put forward. In the empirical part, thepaper combines research of domestic and foreign scholars with characters ofhigh-tech enterprises, and summarizes scales of entrepreneurship,environmentaluncertainty and business performance.The paper takes Nanjing high-tech enterprisesas samples, and conducts research for the middle and senior managers. In theempirical analysis section, the paper firstly analyzes the reliability and validity of thequestionnaire, and the results show that the scales used in the study are also suitablefor high-tech enterprises, and can effectively measure the entrepreneurship ofhigh-tech enterprises, environmental uncertainty, and corporate performance. On thebasis of the validity and reliability of the data, the paper carries out correlation andregression analysis,and the following conclusions are drawn out：1.Three dimensionsof entrepreneurship have very close links between each other, and they also have asignificant correlation with enterprise performance. Further, the two dimensions ofenvironmental uncertainty also have a close relationship between each other.2.Theentrepreneurship and its various dimensions have a significant positive impact oncorporate performance.3.When the uncertainty of environment is high, there is astronger relationship between innovation and high enterprise performance,but theeffect is not significant; there is a stronger relationship between risk-taking and lowenterprise performance when the uncertainty of environment is high, but the effect isnot significant; when the uncertainty of environment is high, there is a significantrelationship between pioneering spirit and low enterprise performance.The results of this study provide guidance for the practice of entrepreneurship inhigh-tech enterprises.What’s more，the results also provide theoretical guidance forthe construction of core competitiveness in high-tech enterprise, and its sustainable development.
