The Research Of Government’s Countermeasures To Improve The Steel Industry Concentration

Over the years, the social and economic development center problem of China’s iron and steel industry is low concentration. It’s the source of backward technology, unreasonable product structure and low product quality, thus resulting in adverse advantages of product competitiveness in the international. Iron and steel industry in the lower concentration will aggravate the disorder vicious competition in the domestic steel companies to reduce the international competitiveness of the iron and steel enterprises, but also undermine the negotiating capacity of the iron and steel enterprises in the purchase of raw materials and sale of steel products, and increased iron and steel the price volatility of the industry, which is not conducive to long-term development of the steel industry.To study the concentration of iron and steel industry, first of all, we should put the government in a prominent position, and secondly, analyze the specific issues about how to increase the degree of concentration. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the respective roles played by all levels of government, and to put forward some feasible strategies based on the actual situation of China’s steel industry the experience learned from developed countries by a comparative analysis. The target of industrial concentration should meet the need of economic development, the long-term development of national economy needs. Transform the industry regulation and create an open market environment with freedom, fairness and competition, respect for the market operation rules and independent decision-making power of the enterprise, so to provide the basis for the central government to formulate the realistic policies. In the thesis I try to explore effective measures to enhance Chinese steel industrial concentration, and take a path of sustainable development in order to provide a reference for our government to improve the concentration of iron and steel industry.In the thesis, the first part is the preparation for the demonstration, describe the theoretical significance and practical significance, briefly introduce the research method, purpose and innovation point; The second part includes the relevant theory about how to increase the concentration of iron and steel industry by government, demonstrate the necessity of government intervention; the third part is about the government problems and according reasons during improving the steel industry concentration process; the fourth part include our government’s enlightenment by reference to government work experience from the foreign iron and steel industry; in the fifth part, I try to get the measures to improve the government strategy from the cognitive level and practical level; finally, the thesis concludes that:to improve the steel industry concentration, we must firstly consider the government’s leading role, and then make full use of the market mechanism based on the foreign experience and local concrete.
