Development of ancient Chinese history, the Tang Dynasty is in a very important time,politically, to re-establish a unified multi-ethnic country, the feudal economy stabledevelopment in the country. Especially from the Golden Years of the Kaiyuan Spirit,production development, commercial development and social prosperity, is the heyday offeudal society. Promote the development of commodity economy monetary economy, thuscontributing to the currency structure corresponding changes in the Tang Dynasty.This paper argues that the transition period of the Tang Dynasty in ancient China ’s monetarysystem, that is, from the precious metals gold and silver, especially silver coins graduallyreplace the transitional stage base metal and cloth Valley millet and other kind of currency.
