The Study Of Agricultural Research Investment Efficiency Of Jiangsu Province

Science and technology is the first productivity, it is same to the agriculture, It isclosely linked between agricultural activities of science and technology andagricultural scientific research activity. The use of achievement of agriculturalscientific research is the principal impetus to agricultural growth. Jiangsu isagricultural big province, it is located in the Yangtze River Delta region, its economicdeveloped well, coupled with our " Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of the food safetyproblem is concerned, therefore, Jiangsu province’s agricultural scientific researchinvestment results should be more attention. The research on how to improve theagricultural scientific research investment return, then will research results as expressused in production practice, will improve the use of resources, ensuring food safetyand production, to better achieve the state of "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" objectives.According to economics all resources are scarce hypothesis, the agricultural scientificresearch resources are very scarce, in Jiangsu province, the investment ofthegovernment,whether it is worth to invest? How to invest? Should or not increasecapital investment? These are the urgent problem to be solved, but also it is the pointto this paper.This paper joint the theory of technical growth and progress of westerneconomics theory, investment multiplier theory and production efficiency theory andeconomics theory, and try to analyze the Jiangsu provincial agricultural scientificresearch investment current situation. On this basis, based on the time series data ofstationarity test, cointegration test, Granger causality tests verified between theagricultural research investment and the efficiency of agricultural investment therelation between reciprocal causation, and lay the foundation for follow-up study; andthen use the previous research on the distributed lag model obtained in JiangsuProvince agricultural scientific research investment and stock; application of multipleregression analysis, the variables on a dependent variable relationship. Finally,according to empirical results are put forward to improve the efficiency of investmentin agricultural research in Jiangsu province and the countermeasures.The main conclusions are: the four variables of agricultural research investmentstock, rural area, crop to sow area, total power of agricultural machinery aresignificant at the0.01level, manpower capital is significant at0.05level. Only theprob of reservoir is0.58, not significant, the main reason is that Jiangsu Province, the geographical position is superior, the river more developed, water resources, waterresources can well meet the need of agriculture, the main role of peasant life inreservoir.
