| Compared with developed countries, producer services in China are still on the low-level, although they have acquired great progress in the past ten years. Research on the impact that manufacturing have on the producer services not only helps accelerate the development of producer services and local economy, but also helps advance manufacturing and promote the optimization of industrial structure.In the background of industrial linkage, we focus on the research on the impact that manufacturing have on the producer services. Based on the review of relevant literature, on one hand this paper analyses systematically and deeply the intrinsic mechanisms to promote the development of producer services and its adjusted factors, on the other hand we combine input-output analysis with empirical regression analysis to test these impact mechanisms. Our analysis shows (1) that manufacturing has a significant role in promoting producer services, and (2) that expansion on the scale of manufacturing demand promotes the producer services on the overall, but this effect is not obvious for a single industry, and (3) that Manufacturing’s innovation activities will also help push producer services forward, and for higher-level producer services, this effect is greater, and (4) that regional factor has a significant impact on this intrinsic mechanism, and for the more developed region, this impact is greater, and (5) that the different types of manufacturing plays a different role in promoting the producer services, and compared with the labor-intensive manufacturing, capital-intensive and technology-intensive manufacturing make greater role in this effect. |
