| Since twentieth Century, research on the relationship betweenindustrial structure and economic growth has been a research hotspots.The process of world economic growth is also industrial structureevolution process. Rational industrial structure not only improves thelevel of development within the industry, but also to promote thecoordinated development of the industry, and to promote the economicdevelopment of the entire country or region. Since the reform andopening up, economic growth is very fast in Shandong Province. Alongwith economic growth, industrial structure has been optimized. In thedeeper reform process of our country’s forthcoming, economicdevelopment in Shandong Province is faced with opportunities andchallenges. This requires the adjustment of industrial structure inShandong Province, so as to grasp the opportunity to make the economicdevelopment better.Currently, research on industrial structure and economic growth,mainly based on one country or one large area for the study, but fewstudies on the provincial, city and county. Moreover, studies therelationship for Shandong Province industrial structure and economicgrowth is to build three major industrial output and economic growthmodel. This article is from the rationalization of the industrial structureand advanced of industrial structure, to study the relationship between theindustrial structure and economic growth. First, the existing theories aresummarized and explained. Second, the status of economic growth andindustrial restructuring in Shandong Province is analyzed. Third, thearticle will do empirical research using the data from1980to2012bystationary test, cointegration analysis and Grainger test. The study finds that there are some problems in the process of economic development inShandong, such as, uneven regional development, virtual sophistication,irrational industrial structure, low investment in agriculture and so on. Onthese issues, this paper presents some of the proposed measures. |
