With the continuous advancement of economic globalization,the international division of labor has been continuously deepened,and the industrial structure has been continuously optimized and developed.As an important factor affecting the development of the national economy,outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)not only plays a key role in enhancing the participation of the world economy,but also affects the transformation and development of the national economy through the transnational flow of resource elements.Since China's "going out" strategy,the depth and breadth of outward foreign direct investment have been accelerating,which has had an important impact on China's economic and industrial structural changes.At present,China is in a transition period from high-speed growth to high-quality growth.Some industries have overcapacity,unreasonable resource allocation,and insufficient core innovation capabilities.The issue of promoting industrial structure transformation and upgrading can effectively alleviate these problems.An important way of high-quality economic growth.In this context,it is of great practical significance to study whether and how increasingly direct outward foreign investment affects the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure.This article focuses on the impact of China's outward foreign direct investment on the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.First of all,this article sorts out the relevant literature on the relationship between outward foreign direct investment at home and abroad and the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure,and on this basis defines the concepts of outward foreign direct investment and the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.Secondly,this article discusses in detail the impact mechanism of OFDI on the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure from a theoretical level,and elaborate on the dynamic process of OFDI and industrial structure changes based on real data.Finally,this paper selects panel data of 30 provinces and cities from 2003 to 2016,and on the basis of measuring the “quantity” and “quality” of the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure,discusses the outward foreign direct investment in detail from the overall,time and sample.The impact on the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure,and further explored the lagging effect of outward foreign direct investment.The research conclusions of this paper indicate that,first of all,China 's current outward foreign direct investment has a significant promotion effect on the “quantity” of the industrial structure advanced,but it has not yet promoted the “quality” and industrial structure of the industrial structure advanced.Rationalization.Secondly,from a time-phased perspective,over time,the impact of OFDI on the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure is increasing,which means that the breadth and depth of China 's OFDI is gradually increasing;The impact of outward foreign direct investment on the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure is better in the eastern region,but not in the central and western regions,which means that the eastern region entered the later stage of industrialization earlier due to its advantageous geographical,environmental and technological advantages,so the region Of companies are more inclined to technology-seeking investment.Finally,there is a lagging effect of outward direct investment on the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure,but the degree of the lagging effect is decreasing year by year,and from the fourth year after the outward direct investment,the promotion effect of outward direct investment on the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure No longer obvious.By subdividing the “quantity” and “quality” of the industrial structure,this article enriches the existing research conclusions on the relationship between OFDI and the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure.It is useful for further deepening the research on OFDI and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure.Certainly enlightenment.
