Mining heritage is a kind of valuable non-renewable resources. They constitute aunique cultural and historical landscape with the surrounding natural environment.Clear the methods and models of mining heritage protection and development by theassessment of the elements of its own, the status quo, the distribution scale and thedevelopment potential. So as to provide comprehensive scientific basis forformulating coordinate social and economic development of the whole mining area,extending mine life, construction planning and improvement of the environment.Dexing has a long copper mining history, played an important role in the historyof the ancient copper mining. Currently Dexing retains a large number of mining sites,in addition to the ancient exploration, mining, dressing, smelting, transport remains,the modern mining area owns complete production and living facilities. The processof people obtaining resources from the nature is well preserved.In this paper, mining heritage resources assessment system was built by thefollowing three main steps:1, the induction, analysis, comparison of domestic andinternational copper mining heritage resources;2, field investigation;3, theestablishment of assessment system.Established assessment system mainly includes qualitative and quantitativeassessment. The quantitative assessment is structured as follows:1, the evaluationindex system;2,to determine the index weight;3, construct assessment model withgray system theory and mining heritage resources grading.In addition, evaluating Dexing Copper Mine State Park comprehensively toverify the scientific of the assessment model. Combined with the "World HeritageList" Login standard states the possibility of declaring the World Cultural Heritage ofDexing Mining Resources.
