Industrial Heritage Tourism In The Resource-exhausted Cities In The Role And Development

As China's resource-based cities gradually towards the end of the resources exploitation and experienced an economy recession, a large number of those cities are facing the challenge of transition.This paper first explore the definition and development history of industrial heritage tourism, analyze the problems that resource-exhausted cities in our country are facing; then this paper study how the industrial heritage tourism promoting the transition of resource–exhausted cities and how to develop industrial heritage tourism. Resource-exhausted cities is the foundation and opportunities for development of industrial heritage tourism while industrial heritage tourism have an important role in promoting the transformation of resource-exhausted cities. Other industries are couldn't hold a candle to industrial heritage tourism in transforming the urban environment, promoting the transformation of resource-exhausted image, pulling off the work of re-employment.The main contents of this paper is as follows:Part one: Preface. This article briefly introduced the research background, carried out literature of industrial heritage tourism study, and point our the innovation of this article.Part two: An overview of the industrial heritage tourism. Define the concept of industrial and industrial heritage tourism, analyze the development of industrial heritage tourism in domestic and abroad.Part three: Resource-exhausted cities in the transition. Based on the study of China's resource -exhausted cities, pointing out that China's resource-exhausted cities are facing enormous challenges of transition, and then discussed the problems they face in transition and the content of transformation.Part four: Industrial heritage tourism's promoting roles in resource-exhausted cities's transformation. First of all, this part discuss the meaning of developing industrial heritage tourism towards resource-exhausted cities of transition, and then discusses the industrial heritage tourism'roles in the resource-exhausted cities'economic transformation, socail transformation and environmental reform, as well as recycling of urban functions in detail.Part five: Exploitation of industrial heritage tourism. Based of an analysis of development factors, this part study the development trategies and development models of industrial heritage tourism.Part six: Take Fuxin City as case, discuss strategic thinkings of using industrial heritage tourism as a tool of promoting the transformation of resource-exhausted cities.
