Therefore, it is significant to analyze tourism economic regional disparity and its causes, which are important to develop the tourism resources tationally, narrow the gap of the regional tourism economy and promote the coordinated development of the regional.Taking37cities of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research objects, this article analyzed the tourism economy regional disparities from the perspective of time and space evolution, the conclusions are as follows:(1)From2003to2012, the absolute disparity of tourism economy expanded rapidly, and the relative disparity falled with fluctuation; Inter-regional disparity and intra-regional disparity was falling slowly all the time, and intra-regional disparitiy was the main contributor to the regional disparity of tourism economy.(2)The spatial evolution pattern of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in terms of the level of tourism economy development and development speed in2003,2006,2009and2012showed:There is largely difference between the economic development level and development speed from place to place, and central cities showed high level of tourism economy development and faster development speed, on the other hand, the other showed the opposite characteristics.(3)According to the results of Principal Component Analysis to tourism economy indicators and spatial visualization of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in2003,2006,2009and2012showed:Tourism economy polarized obviously of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and the level of tourism economy was low to most cities; The number of poles of tourism economy growth has increased, but its radiation and leading role needs to be strengthened; The tourism economy more developed region showed to concentrate to northeast.(4)The factors of tourism economy regional disparity included resource endowments, tourism transport accessibility, the level of service and economic development and industrial policy etc. Under the function of these factors, urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River showed the large regional disparity.
