Regional logistics development disparity is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of regional logistics’ development. Moderate regional logistics development disparity will actively promote the development of the regional logistics, but overlarge regional logistics development disparity will restrict the further development of regional logistics. Thus, it is the common goal of the governments at all levels to promote the development of the regional logistics which is both rapid and balanced. In this paper, logistics industry of30provinces in China and logistics industry of the east region, the central region, the west region and the northeast region in China are regarded as the objects of study. This paper analyzes regional logistics development disparity and its forming factors in China with using the method which combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. Hoping that the study can provide decision-making references for the balanced development of regional logistics in China.First of all, based on summarizing the predecessors’ researchs, this paper uses theil index to calculate the whole disparity of regional logistics and regional logistics development disparity of all four regions in China, and the whole disparity is decomposed into the disparity between four regions and the disparity within four regions with the spatial decomposability of Theil index. Then this paper analyzes the change trend of regional logistics development disparity in China. Secondly, this paper. analyzes theoretically the main influencing factors of regional logistics development level, and chooses variable indicators of various influencing factors. Then on this basis, Panel Data Models are introduced into, and the regression analysis between regional logistics development level and various influencing factors estimates the influences of various influencing factors to regional logistics development level. Thereby, this paper builds the deterministic model of regional logistics development level. Finally, based on the deterministic model of regional logistics development level, this paper uses Shapley Value Decomposition to calculate the contributions of various influencing factors to regional logistics development disparity. And then from the perspective of provincial disparity, this paper analyzes those different influences the factors have on regional logistics development disparity in China. And on this basis, this paper puts forward Suggestions for promoting the balanced development of regional logistics.Main results of this study are as follows:Firstly, the whole disparity of regional logistics and regional logistics development disparity of the central region, the west region and the northeast region in China show roughly the trend of "expanding-reducing", and the drop is greater than the rise; Sceondly, regional logistics development disparity of the east region in China show roughly the trend of expanding; Thirdly, the disparity between four regions is the main reason that leads to the whole disparity, and the role of the disparity within four regions takes second place; Fourthly, industrial added value per capita, the added value per capita of wholesale and retail, logistics infrastructure investment, secondary industry structure, traffic line network density, The utilization of foreign capital and government intervention are the factors of narrowing regional logistics development disparity, and provincial natural factors, retail sales per capita of consumer goods, GDP per capita, urbanization level and labor supply level are the factors of expanding regional logistics development disparity; Among them, industrial added value per capita and provincial natural factors are the decisive factors of forming the early pattern of regional logistics development disparity, and government intervention has always had a minimal impact on regional logistics development disparity.
