Research On The Raw Materrial Inventorry Management Of A Company

Recent years, power generation equipment market in China growth rapidly. Many large domestic power generations equipment manufacturing enterprise’s production capacity increases. However, compared with American’s GE, Germany’s Siemens and many other enterprises. The inventory management level of power equipment enterprises in China still has great room to improve Appropriate inventory which can ensure production run smoothly. Therefore, how to analyze the inventory causes, mining the effective management methods, improve the enterprise inventory management level and profit ability, enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises, which are the urgent problems need to be solved in manufacturing enterprises. This thesis analyses the current situation of material management of A company on the basis of summary of inventory management theory knowledge. Then, proposes A set of raw materials inventory management solutions for the company. The research has a certain reference significance to the other power generation equipment manufacturing. The main work of this thesis are as follows:1. This thesis summarizes the current research background and explained the current situation of inventory management, after the analyses of the materials management of DELL and Company A company, this thesis establish the main framework of this thesis, which laid the theoretical foundation for future study.2. This thesis analyzed the current situation of raw materials inventory management of A company, including the organizational structure of materials management department, the relevant responsibilities, business processes, the link with other department. Then proposed the existence of raw material inventory management problems and its causes of A company.3. As for the raw materials inventory management issues, the thesis use the ABC classification method for raw materials, and calculate the reorder point and safety stock of raw materials, which makes the management of raw materials more targeted, and improves inventory management level, achieve the goal of reducing the cost of raw material inventory.4. Combined with the inventory management analysis results of A company, this thesis proposes some measures on the basis of the corresponding inventory, finally, gives the relevant support measures.The research has certain significance in the practice to the other manufacture companies.
