Practice Of Lean Manufacturing In CN Company

Lean production (LP) is the trend of future development of manufacturing enterprises. On the basis of study of lean production at home and abroad, the paper has an analysis of assembly line condition, production process status and lean production management of CN; in aspects of assembly line plant layout planning, process rhythm, quality management, inventory management and information platform, the paper identifies the problems of CN in the lean production.Combination of the existing problems of lean production and development requires the construction of five mainly from plant layout planning, process rhythm control, quality management, inventory management and information technology. And relevant methods are used to improve production processes and to design appropriate programs and measures.Through lean production optimization, the assembly line of CN operates more professionally, while staff in the production site reduced from13to11; the annual outputs increased to3418units from2510units; the available area of warehouse expanded to3400square meters from1090square meters; production efficiency increased to16.4units/day from12.2units/day; and furthermore, the backlog in process has been eased as well. It is obvious that the transformation results of CN through adopting lean production are visible and considerable.
