Alone with the increasing population and urbanization in Daqing, the existing logistics facilitiesfor wholesale markets of agricultural products is aging. Its carrying capacity and radiation powercannot keep up with the pace of rapid urban development. It failed to support the agriculture industry,especially in terms of the scale and circulation of agriculture products that greenhouse economicdevelopment brings. Based on the survey and analysis, this research suggests that it is practical andnecessary to build up an agricultural products Logistics Park in Daqing.According to the principle of regional agricultural products circulation hub, agricultural productsLogistics Park is positioned as: planning construction land-use of1.09million square meters, totalconstruction area of0.55million square meters, total volume of trade of more than6million tons,expected turnover of3billion RMB, and up to4Alevel of wholesale markets.The method of induction and deduction is adopted in literature review of this research on the basisof comprehensive study both in China and aboard. Using collected information from the expert focusgroup, first, the study choose Lindian Huangniu field as the Logistics Park, considering internal factorssuch as natural conditions and social benefits, as well as external factors such as environmentalprotections, communication issues, and market demographics. Second, the research proposes a plan inwhich Logistics Park is divided in zones with different functionality including basic function, logisticsextension service function and supporting service function. There are several special features withinthe Logistics Park such as tourist zone and drive-in theatre. Third, comparing analysis method is usedin order to sustain healthy operation and development, as well as to overcome the difficulty ofadding-value for Logistics Park. The study has proposed specific tactics in terms of changing singledevelopment mode and extending services for all sectors of the logistics. Lastly, the cost-benefitanalysis shows that this Logistics Park plan is reasonably designed. Besides, the plan can bringeconomics and social benefits.
