Study On Current Situation And Developing Strategy Of Kunshan Vegetable Industry

The vegetable industry of Kunshan city was studied in this thesis. We analyzed the characteristics and existing problems of vegetable industry in Kunshan through consulting data, investigation and data analysis. On the basis, we proposed a development strategy of vegetable industry, which could provide the basis of strategy formulation and planning for vegetable industry in Kunshan city. The main conclusions are as follows.1. The vegetable industry of Kunshan city includes several specific characteristics: area and yield remain stable, greenhouses to get fast development, the variety and structure of protected cultivation are becoming reasonable, the proportion of scale cultivation is steadily increasing, the degree of organization is continuously increasing, benefit continues to grow, the level of quality and safety is overall enhancing, and its function is continually expanding, etc.2. At present, the Kunshan vegetable industry is facing a series of challenges, including unbalanced development among of regions, vegetable area is more difficult to maintain stable, serious lack of labor, technology service capabilities need to be improved, the efficiency of scale planting is low, the variety and structure of protected cultivation need to be optimized, and production and marketing docking is not smooth, etc.3. We put forward the development strategy for vegetable industry of Kunshan. Accordance with the ideas of’simultaneous development of internal and external base’, we accelerated the integration of vegetable base construction, and using the limited resources to build a large-scale vegetable production base. It needs to effort to accelerate the system construction of vegetable industry, such as scientific and technological innovation, circulation, quality and safety. In addition, it needs to reform the management pattern of vegetable base to achieve scale, facilities, variety, services, and products. It can help to promote agricultural efficiency and farmers’income, ensure the stable supply of vegetable market and make industry service function more perfect.
