As is known to all, how to establish a set of sound and perfect social basic medical insurance system is a recognized problem in the world today. Date to1883, Germany has pioneered in the world in the form of national legislation and implement the social basic medical insurance system. So far, nearly170countries in the world have carried out the social basic medical insurance system.As China’s economic development and social progress, national standard of living increasingly improve, with the strong health consciousness and the concept of the national economy also appeared obviously improved, people began to put more attention and health and health care costs. In2007,the state council issued the state council on the trial of basic medical insurance for urban residents of guidance, launched in79cities at the same time the first pilot unit of the basic medical insurance for urban residents, to solve the problem of the difficulty of getting medical service and high cost of getting medical treatment.At the beginning of the21st century our country’s medical insurance system has made phased victory.But as we all know, its cost is often very large to carry out of universal medical insurance policy.Can huge input get the corresponding returns? Can medical security system further protect or improve the health status of residents?In order to discuss influence on residents health medical insurance for urban residents,this paper we use empirical analysis methods to analyze the relationship between health and medical insurance for urban residents in China.Research results show that the relationship between the rate of participating in medical insurance for urban residents and two-week prevalence rate is negative correlation,especially for more than65-year-old age residents.At present,in our country,the trend of aged tendency of population is escalating.In this paper, research has shown that residents to participate in medical insurance can effectively improve their health. So we can alleviate the pressure of the aging society by improving medical insurance.This article research conclusion requires our country to attach importance to the existing problems in urban medical security system.Only in this way they can better guarantee the health of the residents, in order to more conducive to the harmonious development of society as a whole.
